Download SQL Server 2008 R2 FULL MSDN ISO with Key. Yang versi Enterprise ini versi yang paling lengkap bukan. This is the download page for Microsoft server applications.
I did it years ago to allow a lot more RAM for a Hyper-V host. A non-profit had the two server setup of Microsoft Essential Business Server 2008, with all the servers save for ISA running on this host. When Microsoft killed the product line, everyone got the full products of Exchange, SQL Server, Server 2008 R2, etc. ISA was dead, so to consolidate all the servers I needed to bump the physical memory.
It was no big deal, just turn off any added services (SQL Server being an example) and upgrade, 64GB of RAM suddenly appeared. Sammyadnan wrote: Thank you for your suggestions BrianInca. One of our windows guy is telling us, we may need to reinstall apps and reconfigure the server which makes me nervous. If you have any details info or link. Could you provide that please? Is there any specific service I have to stop before upgrading. Or any details information please!

Do you have any step by step docs on that? Thanks again!! Don't know if there are any docs, the only one I remember said to set the Hyper-V services to manual instead of automatic. I would do that for the various SQL Server services, should not be a big deal at all. You will NOT need to reinstall apps and/or reconfigure the server. I did it in less than an hour as I recall, it was no big deal. Actually, we stopped the activity because of application Vendor is saying that it is high risk to do that!
They may need to reinstall the application again if we upgrade from std to enterprise. There is no clear direction or evidence which I can submit to them. Different people are giving us different opinion. That's why We are not doing it now! We will perform this activity later on!!
Anyway, Thanks a lot everyone for your help and suggestions. I really appreciate that. Have a great weekend!
